The Cashier Customer Service role involves providing excellent customer service while efficiently handling cash transactions. The cashier is responsible for processing sales quickly, accurately, and in a friendly manner. Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases and inquiries. Address customer concerns and provide information about products and services.
- Cash Handling: Accurately process cash, check, and credit card transactions using a point-of-sale (POS) system. Ensure the proper handling and security of cash and other forms of payment.
- Sales Processing: Scan items, apply discounts, and tally purchases accurately. Bag or package items carefully and ensure customers receive correct change and receipts.
- Inventory Management: Assist in restocking shelves, maintaining inventory levels, and organizing displays. Report low stock levels to management.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized checkout area. Ensure that the workspace is free from clutter and that all equipment is in good working condition.
- Compliance: Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to security, safety, and loss prevention. Comply with all relevant laws and regulations regarding financial transactions.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth store operations. Provide support to other departments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous cashier or customer service experience is preferred.
