About Us
Sancton Wood Nursery is housed in its own beautiful Victorian building which is perfect for nurturing and fostering relationships with our children and families. Sancton Wood aims to inspire each child to be the best they can be within a safe, happy and stimulating environment. Situated only 4 minutes' walk from the train station it is ideally located and boasts a large garden with Forest School area. We make the nursery environment inspiring by offering lots of open-ended opportunities for learning, using natural and reclaimed resources and an emphasis on sustainability. Children are encouraged to add their imaginations and creativity, with their adventures facilitated by a team of passionate and experienced educators.
_Our Vision_
We believe all children have the right to be understood as individuals and to be given the time and opportunities needed to develop as creative, competent learners. An inspiring environment, with lots of access to the outdoors, provides the backdrop to each child's unique developmental story. Our vision is to create a place that values caring, respectful relationships and ensures the voice of the child is heard.
Little Dukes is part of the Dukes Education family - a group of independent nurseries, schools and colleges located throughout Europe. We are united in our common goal to provide exceptional educational opportunities to children of all ages. Our Vision is to offer the best pedagogical approaches, such as Montessori and Forest School, but with the flexibility for our members of staff to shine, grow and develop along with the children and families they support.
Dukes Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to a successful Enhanced Disclosure, Barring Service (DBS) check and two professional references.
